Yes! I have my LAPTOP back!
And all is right in the world once again.
Apparently, the problem wasn't the harddrive (as the tech at Circuit City thought, same as my dad), but rather, the motherboard. So, new motherboard (as well as theoretically new fans, new battery, and a new 'z' key, but that's a different story entirely :D ), and the problem seems to be solved.
With the bonus that I don't have to replace my harddrive and lose everything I had on it. *nod* always a good thing.
I am craving paintballing pretty bad now.
Seriously, if I don't go paintballing pretty soon, I'm gonna go buy a bucket of paintballs and some CO2 tanks, and go to town in the backyard.
Finally relieved that craving to play D&D, though. Got to play with Daina, Kevin, Eli, and Darryl this past Saturday. Mm, I'd forgotten how fun and amusing it was.
No, wait- I hadn't. :P So now I want to play more.
Rina seemed amused, too. For a little while, she rolled the dice for my druid's hawk- that's about as close as she came to playing. Hmm...perhaps next time.
I have a bunch of homework-type stuffs to do, and not much time left to do it.
Why? 'Cause there's only two weeks left in this semester, then exam week and i'm FREE :P
A whole month-long break! During which I can hopefully work more day shifts at Regal, and less night shifts, and spend more time with Rina therefore!
Yay, go me.
Oh, that reminds me. I need to talk to Al and see if he'll give me that big Casino Royale poster :D That would be way cool.
Speaking of movies... Casino Royale was pretty cool. Well done, I think...Daniel Craig did a good job. I miss the bond girls in the opening credit theme, though. :(
Deja Vu (which I saw last night) was also pretty nifty! Not quite what I had expected (thought there would be a lot more Deja Vu-ing, but that was just my imagination making up it's own movie based on the trailer), but way cool. Denzel did a nice job.
Deck the Halls is bombing pretty bad, I guess...haven't seen it, and don't really want to. Departed is still drawing quite the crowd, though! It'll probably be gone by Friday, though...it's stayed for at least a month, I think. Maybe longer.
Saw III is also still pulling in a theater-full most nights, too. But, like Departed, it'll probably be gone by Friday. (Which means yay for me, because I hope to get a Saw III poster! Gotta remember to ask Frank about that, when he goes to switch up the stuff)
In addition to that, anybody looking for a job might want to put in an application at Regal- I know of at least one person that's leaving in the next two weeks, so we'll probably be hiring.
Oh! I have a new digital camera. :D Yay! Finally! that old one was just so...grr. Now, I've got a much better one, not to mention with a large memory card, so I can take a lot more pictures without worrying about filling it up.
So I'll probably start carrying it all the time now, which is what i wished I'd do...if i had a nickel for every time I wished i'd had a camera with me...
Speaking of that, I'll get a picture of my new eyes up next post, for sure. *nod*
I want more mashed potatoes. :(
And now i'm hungry...can't wait to get home. I hope there's something good to eat left in the fridge...otherwise all i have is a sandwhich. *Sigh*
