"Behind My Dark Glasses"

They are a veil;
But not of my eyes, rather the world;
A darkness intentional.
For in the light, only what is shown is seen.
Bright, locked, all is clean.
But behind my dark glasses, the truth is revealed.

They are a shield;
But not of my vision, rather the envisioned;
A darkened potential.
For without the light, exposed will be everything.
Blackened, open, all is accusing.
But behind my dark glasses, the balance is healed.

They are a gateway;
But not of my sight, rather the unimagined;
A darkling essential.
For what is the light, complete and as one.
Yin, yang, all is none.
But behind my dark glasses, the shadow is concealed.
