Change.

I have been reflecting on many things lately, specifically on the concept of change and how it applies to my life.

I am making a vow that from here on out, things will change. So much already has, and I need that, even superficially.

What has already changed:
  • My goals
  • My car
  • My dream profession
  • My Fall classes
  • My responsibilities
  • My grades (Improvement)
  • My exercise regime
  • My diet
  • My perspective on America
  • My loyalties to past friends
  • My friendships
  • My contacts with school administration
  • My leadership roles
And then there are the things that will be changing very shortly:
  • My job
  • My age
  • My official majors to Microbiology and Women and Gender Studies
  • My residence (Moving home for the summer)
  • My relationship will soon change back from long distance.
  • My residence for next year has changed to a more healthy environment (Womens Center rather than dorm)
  • My roommate.
  • The season, and all that comes with it
  • My summer classes
  • My hair
  • My philosophy, and priorities
And so much more.

Above all, I have made personal goals to change certain aspects of my life that I know I am ready to let go of. I have grown out of many things, out of many people in my life. It's time for me to say goodbye to what was familiar, and to step into my new life as someone who is ready to accomplish her goals and to help others. I need to stop letting my past determine where I go in life. It is time to grow as a person, and to move on, so that I can become the person that I aspire to be.

It is time for change.
