left-handed

Oh, by the way! This summer, I'm also going to try and teach myself to write left-handed. Ambidexterity in writing is something I've wanted since second grade, when left-handed students got different letter books than us right-handed folks, and I've been meaning to teach myself left-handedness since then, but just haven't done it.

But this summer's gonna be different. I found a "Primary Journal: Early creative story tablet" in Wally-World today, and I decided that this summer I'd do it. So every night, I will try to write (and illustrate) a one-page journal entry with my left hand. Even if my pencilmanship doesn't improve, if nothing else it should provide for many a chuckle -- haha.

Here's tonight's entry:

As you can see, I've illustrated the situation beautifully. The blob up top and center is the ceiling fan and light fixture. The black blob is the very large fly flying above my head. And the lovely angry person is me, lying on my bed (very improper writing posture, I'm sure) and trying to write left-handedly. The "F" shape at right is supposed to represent my feet.

Clearly, I am truly gifted.

But really. All you other right-handers out there, feel free to join me in a summer of left-handedness! And all you left-handers out there, feel free to join in a summer of right-handedness! Together, we will conquer the world with squiggles and nonsense! Huzzah!

left-handed, another crazy scheme
