Yesterday I found an extra $20 in the ATM. The clerk at the store told me to keep it. It was my lucky day.
This morning, when I checked my mail, I found that I'd be selected to participate in a survey. As an incentive to complete the survey, $5 was included in the envelope.
I thought, Geeze! I'm finding all this random money all of a sudden! I hope that doesn't mean I'm going to need some extra cash some time soon...
And then...I went to get an oil change today. Without going into the details, there was a scare that I'd have to replace a part which costs $40-50, but which is located so inconveniently that it would take hours of delicate labor, around $200-250. Fortunately the crisis has been averted and moved into the "inconvenience" category and is no longer a "you can't drive your car" category. I'll talk with my mechanic back "home" and see what his opinion is and stuff.
But jimminy!
In other news, my Dad's got strep throat, and has had it for a week, and sounded awful on the phone today :(
I have two sets of final exams and around 5 or 6 research papers to grade before noon on Monday. PHD Comics had a nice comic about grading, so I made it into an LJ icon. Mostly the "left it blank" and "complete nonsense" things are spot on.
I spoke with a friend today on the phone that I haven't spoken to in a while. I'm glad I called her! :D
Leonard is shedding like a fiend. Every time I pet him, I walk away covered in striped fur (because each strand of his fur is literally striped!)
In the grocery store today, I came upon these:

Anybody else bothered with (amused by? :P) the location of the thing into which you're supposed to blow to inflate these creatures?
I just finished watching Ponyo -- it was probably the most adorable film I've ever seen! Eeeee!! So cuuuutteeee!!
Ummm....yup. I think that's all for now. My thermostat says it's 80 degrees in here. Blech.
