Well, consider this a test of how many people still watch this community. It's been a while since At World's End came and went, but with rumors of PotC 4 a-grinding in the mill, it might be time to bring this baby back.

What d'you say, guys?

My friend showed me this, and it spawned a terrible inspiration in me. And so the story of how this fic should have gone:

Amandaline Evaline Seraph Diana Hart was a fiery young child, born with the most brilliantly shiny sapphire eyes her evil father had ever seen. Unfortunately, this meant she inflicted third degree burns on anyone who dared touch her, and blind, since her eyes were made of such an unusual jewel. Her evil father didn’t love her, since she was a girl who showed such spark and life, but also because her eyes creeped him out a little bit. Since her father was such an evil, evil misogynist, he planned to take her away from her mother and pretend that she had died so he would never have to look at those brilliant rhinestones in her eye sockets ever again. The midwife had caught wind of this, however, but instead of saving poor Amandaline Evaline, she gave her a shiny locket, which really isn’t that important, seeing as the story ends in another hundred words.
Her father took her away and put her in a barrel and set her out to sea so that she could be adopted by pirates. And lo and behold! The next day, who should happen to pass by a barrel with a baby in it but the Black Pearl?! Amandaline Evangeline stared up at Mr. Gibbs with a beautiful baby smile that could melt any pirate’s heart. It certainly melted Gibbs’, and he died on the spot, for lack of a functioning heart.
Since the only person who had seen her was now dead, the barrel simply passed on, floating off into the rising sun that was rising.

The end.

Poor Mr.Gibbs D:

On another note, why is fanfiction always so dramatic and lacking in basic story structure? Is everyone who writes it really 13?

Unfortunately, a good percentage of badfic authors are well out of their teenage years. Rina Tait the 24-year-old "historical restoratnest" comes to mind, as well as this charming Snape MPreg Suethor, a 33-year-old lady sporked on deleterius.
