My mother died last night at about 10:15. I'm flying to VA first thing in the morning, and the funeral is Tues.
It was fairly sudden, all things considered. She's been feeling ok except for being very tired all the time. The cancer moved into her lungs right before Christmas. I talked to her the night before she died, and she said that she was having trouble breathing, but the oxygen made it better.
Dad called last night and said that yesterday had been a very bad day - her first. She couldn't catch her breath all day long, and he had to help her with moving around. She was in bed on oxygen while he went to walk the dog. When he got back, she had passed.
It's been rough. Prayers are appreciated.
