I'm trying to take a moment every day to write down which bands I saw and which ones I want to check out again some time.
It was misting when we got here and we had a hell of a time carrying our stuff through the mud and finding a space. Everyone seems to have figured out the trick of parking and lugging their stuff to the "no vehicles" section close to the stages, which is where we camp. Luckily, Carey's friend Kelsey showed up with his rain shelter before in really started pouring, and it wasn't too bad while Margot, Sal, Karlie, Casey, and Kank set up.
The rain stayed away for awhile, and we got to see White Rabbits do a great set and then Portugal the Man while relaxing on a blanket on the ground.Back at the site, we hid from another downpour. There was an insane storm and I saw the most beautiful/ terrifying lightning I've ever seen. We lost one of the shade tents and harbored a camping orphan while the worst was over us.
We went back out when the rain let up to catch a GREAT show by Passion Pit. We took a load off while checking out American Princess (ok in a cute garage band way) and were snacking on a corn dog and funnel cake when it started pouring again. We took shelter and caught most of the Tobacco show before we made a run for it back to the site. It was about 2am when we got back and turned in. Our tent stayed dry and we had a great rest before brewing some camp coffe and cooking up some Jiffy Pop for breakfast. I'm having a blast.
