I'm pretty sure it's time for me to come out of hibernation. Have you ever noticed that after you've had a lot of free time, you stop using it wisely, or at all? I did nothing all day yesterday, and yet midnight came so fast and I realized I hadn't accomplished anything. I could chalk it up to being sick, but I don't think I should give myself that much slack.
Suzanna, one of my red-eared slider turtles, is cracking me up. She's perched on the rock in the middle of the aquarium, and her right leg is sticking up in the air, straight up, like it's stuck there. Greta couldn't stand watching me type from the floor, so now she's up on my lap, watching my fingers dart around the keyboard. The autumn days get me so cozy.
