call VH1, I had the best week ever!

This week at camp was very stressful, frustrating, and emotionally taxing for me, but it was also more fun than the other weeks have been at the same time. Being on staff and having your camp week come along is weird because it blurs the lines of where you fit in. Since it was my camp week, most of the counselors have always seen me as sort of a role model, a lot of the campers remembered me, etc. I guess I was also more outgoing because I'm totally comfortable around the agents, adults, campers and counselors I've grown up with and watched grow up themselves.
I might have said this in my last entry, but I am so proud of the Bedford counselors, and the Franklin ones I got to know were good too. Pavich rocked, Erin and Shauna handled a bad situation with care and capability, Marissa and Britny are growing up to be more outgoing, and Patrick was a great help in my classes and it was just awesome to get to spend time with one of my favorite people for at least 9 hours this week! It seemed like everyone had gotten more outgoing with their campers and more calm and prepared for situations like homesickness and bullying, but of course there were still some surprises. We had to send a few kids home from camp for behavior this week.
Then last night was just absolutely insane. About half the staff went to Annie and MC's hometown to see Trick Pony and spend the night at Annie's. There was a trip to the store on the way back and after that the night was pretty unpredictable... staff bonding, the "touch me" game, at least one nude photo (not of me!), falling asleep on the couch, falling asleep again in the middle of a deep conversation with Sarah, and Annie's friend Rae going downstairs to find Brian asleep on top of the TV.
Highlights of the week: deciding to act like a teen again at the outdoor movie and the mini-dance for my own sanity. My student Raekwan's insane quotes. Seeing Patrick and the other teens again. Hanging out with Paul more so I could add more sarcasm and awesomeness to my life following our fake engagement at Applebee's last weekend. My shoulder feeling better. I got to finally feel what it's like to be a "popular" staff member-- other weeks I'm kind of introverted. Getting to chill with MC and Sarah upstairs while everyone was in the hot tub. Bringing back awards for the 4 H's (Head, Heart, Hands, and Health). Pavich deciding she's going to pull a Heather and come back next year. Staff girls rocking "I Will Survive" and "Summer Lovin'" at the talent show.
Lowlights of the week: having to be basically a solo Skunkette because Kool-Aid was so busy with discipline and stuff. Sarah's muffler falling off of her car. Messing up "Kumbaya" at campfire. Almost breaking my shoulder falling out of the shower Friday. Snapping at Daniel, Monroe, and Tyler on seperate occasions because they each tried to be touchy-feely when I was tired, in a bad mood, or actually asleep. Susie getting sick. People who are mean when intoxicated. And Smitty, because I hate that thing.
