Apparently, car troubles are running in the roomie fam these days. First
bluebunni's SUV Wheezy had an accident in the snow, and yesterday Josephine (my '98 Dodge Neon) stalled out in the turning lane at an intersection and wouldn't start again. I pulled ONTO THE SIDEWALK, which I know is illegal, but which seemed better than getting rear-ended since the battery was completely dead and the hazard lights could not be turned on.
I called Jordan, who came to try to jump start me, but even that didn't work. Around that time, an Italian foods truck pulls into the turning lane, PARKS IN THE TURNING LANE (is THAT legal?) and starts making deliveries at Mellow Mushroom. I was like,
"We're waiting on a tow truck" and they were like "Well, we're going to be a while," SOOO RUDELY! And boxed us in, like THIS:
So TWO HOURS LATER they were done making their delivery and I could finally get towed. Might I add that like 6 cop cars passed while we were totally breaking the law and in need of help? And two cops on foot walked by without even asking WHY MY CAR WAS ON THE SIDEWALK AND JORDAN'S SUV ON CITY PROPERTY?
Oh geez, C-Ville.
Also, are icing and frosting the same thing? Is it just a regional difference that there are two different words for sugar-and-egg mixtures that go atop my cuppycakes?
Internship fair time!
Peace out,
h.
