I climbed into my car to hear the tragic news story about Nick Adenhart  and his two friends. I work two blocks from Lemon and Orangethorpe; I drive through that intersection at least twice a day. Needless to say, I had to go around on my way in and over lunch because the authorities are still investigating. The cars hadn't even been moved as of an hour ago.
22 yo
that's just sad. It's even more disturbing to learn that the driver that hit the car has multiple DUI's and a suspended license. I heard he's 22 also.
I guess the accident occurring so close to my daily  where abouts really reels it in. I see the crowds milling around the corner and wonder WTF they think they are going to see over there. The spilled blood of a young athlete? I guess I just don't get it.... I also didnt get in when my bubbly co-worker busted out with an excited "Have you Heard????"before I had been in the office for one minute. (BTW, the norm around here is that no one talks to my grumpy ass when I walk in, they give me about ten minutes to settle) Morbid much? Yes, I heard, I find the news making the day a bit gloomier than the weather.
