Thankful it's over...

I hate making a post complaining about how horrible our Thanksgiving was this year, so I thought I'd just post the nitty gritty. We had no one to really celebrate with and not a whole lot of extra money to buy a turkey and trimmings. Then, while watching the parade Nathan somehow found the utility knife that we'd been using to unpack boxes and slit his fingers. Two hours and five stitches later, we were back home, Nathan happily showing off his "bunny ears" bandages on his fingers and Paul and I feeling guilty for being horrible parents and depressed because we couldn't drown our sorrows in turkey, stuffing and pie. As it was, I wanted to cry into my spaghetti when we finally did have dinner around 5:30. It could have been worse, I know, but I missed having a "normal" Thanksgiving.
