I've been really busy knitting this last week, and there's been some paperwork I didn't expect as well, Last weekend, I visited a friend of mine, and we went to three Christmas pageants/parties, so I'm almost bored of Christmas music and the sweet pastries already, with still some days to go. It was fun, though. I can't even remember the last time I was at a Christmas pageant for kids, and it was mostly adorable. There was singing, dancing (they did gangnam in costume, can you imagine?), and some acting. I thought it particularly cool that the Virgin Mary was played in the tableau by a girl in a wheelchair. She goes to the same school as everyone else, but since it's an old school, they have to carry her wheelchair upstairs to class. There was also a boy with some sort of developmental issue, who was short and had a crooked back, but he sang with more genuine joy than anyone else, I think. It really made me feel good to see him enjoy himself like that.
I've been knitting and knitting and knitting, and then knitting some more, but now I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, which is probably fitting, since they're saying that the world is coming to an end tomorrow... Oh well, at least I'll have done my level best getting the Christmas knitting done...
I've just discovered Doctor Who, in his tenth regeneration, played by Cristopher Eccleston. I also discovered that I can't get anymore of the series in Finland, if I don't buy it imported and online. It's too bad, but the same is true for Pushing Daisies, of which I've watched only the first of the two seasons. Why is it that they don't import more series here? It's not like Doctor Who at least is something new and obscure that nobody's heard of.... I'll have to hope I'll get rich some day,,,
There's a lot happening in all your lives, I'm sure, and I'll try catching up soon. I can't surf and knit at the same time, so it's been mostly movies and series. The rest of this week is going to be busy with visits. And then it's Christmas at last. If I don't blog before that, let me wish you a very merry Christmas and the happiest of new years!
