Do you feel like you’ve lived this day a hundred times before?

Look, it's a mind-freeing question! It's about time I got around to answering one for a change.
I don't think I feel sunk in monotony today, although it's been an ordinary one: some Pinterest, some Late Late Show, some keyboard exercise, some knitting, and some reading. I'm actually trying to study a  bit of business economics, which I know almost nothing about, and I think it's really a bit fascinating. I figured I need to know something about running a business, just in case I should start my own some day. And even just being a temporary employee, it doesn't hurt to understand the way businesses operate. I might even learn to ask smart questions at job interviews...
I'm always thankful to realize I'm the sort of person who can handle monotony, and who can adapt to change without making too much fuss. I don't think there's any need to complain about a dull job, if you just have some spare time you can use in a more interesting way. As far as I'm concerned, you can bring it on with the monotony, if the atmosphere at work is ok. And by ok I mean non-hostile. Although I really like translating, I don't think I would ever identify myself through my work. An interest in languages is very much a part of me, but I could work as a nurse, and still have that same fascination for words. My ambitions really don't go any further than performing well at work and learning to do better. It's just as well, because translators aren't exactly on top of the corporate ladder...
I finished the pullover, and I love it. I also finished a pair of socks I started earlier, and now I don't have anything to knit again... I'll have to start something before I'm off on another trip to my friend with the grand-kids, whom I've mentioned before. I look forward to getting some blogging done while I'm there, because the internet works a lot better at her place.
Have a great weekend and keep warm (or cool, depending on your region, it's nearing summer in Australia and New Zeeland, I think).
