I feel very pleased to be here again today. I've been spending a profitable evening translating a doctor's statement for an insurance company, something I've never had the occasion to translate before. I'd like to get more medical texts to translate, because it's more interesting to me than economics, and I also feel the need is greater than when I get to translate ads and financial statements of companies wishing to impress shareholders...

Virginity breeds mites, much like a cheese; consumes itself to the very paring, and so dies with feeding his own stomach. Besides, virginity is peevish, proud, idle, made of self-love, which is the most inhibited sin in the canon. Keep it not; you cannot choose but lose by't..." What do you think of this? I think Shakespeare may have been speaking ironically, or to shock, but I also think there's a lot of store set by one single event, when virginity or the loss of it becomes a political or religious issue.

Yay, I did it one more time, and in just a short hour... Now it's definitely time for bed. This was a nice day, because I got to vote, and have that out of the way, and I got to see my cousin, her husband and the baby, who slapped me in the face and laughed (it's cute when you're just about 9 months old). and I remembered, when looking at the date on the computer, that it's been 7 years since I was accepted into the Greek Orthodox church. I'm very happy to have found my way in that respect. Conversion is a huge decision, with far-reaching effects, and it mustn't be undertaken lightly. I'm glad that my father confessor let me think long and hard about it, and that he's been such a positive influence in my life ever since.
Tomorrow I have a dentist's appointment again, oh joy... Well, it's all for a good end... See you!
