I came home yesterday. It was a great visit, and very restful, although we always seemed to be too busy for me to write anything. We went to a flea-market, and I was very lucky there, because I found a book (Rasmus and the Vagabond by Astrid Lindgren), a movie (Valiant, an animated movie about British messenger doves during WWII), and a thin grey woollen sweater, and a brown woollen jacket. It was all very cheap, but of good quality, and just what I wanted. Oh, and my friend bought me a small white porcelain elephant with three holes in each ear, for keeping earrings in. It's a long time since I last got a new elephant for my collection, and the first one I got from this particular friend:).
Today I've just been recovering from the trip. I finished the Christmas gift I've been knitting, so now I need to find something new to knit again. I might continue with Christmas knitting, since I got off to such a good start. I really don't need anything for myself right now, after all.
I'm watching The Sound of Music, which I haven't seen in ages. It's such a sweet and innocent movie, and it holds a lot of memories for me. I used to watch it with my cousin, and we learned all the songs and sang them, both in unison and as duets. They still fill me with joy, although I've seen many movies since, and some musicals I like more than this one.
There's a thunderstorm somewhere close by, and I saw a lightning-bolt already, but the rain just won't come, and the heat is almost insufferable. I hope the storm breaks soon. The weather has been very unpredictable this summer, I must say...
I'll see you tomorrow, when I will answer the next mind-freeing question. Take care!
