calgon, take me away

Feb 26, 2004 23:30

I left work early yesterday and came home and slept all day long. I can't sleep at night and I don't want to do anything. I arrived at work at 6:30 and made the coffee for the meeting, waited until it was over and then said, I'm going home. I feel like shit. They, thankfully, did not give me a tough time. I did watch Angel but I was pretty much ( Read more... )

{{{hugs}}} I hope you'll be able to get some sleep soon. I've been going through something similar. Though I do have stress keeping me from sleeping, health problems (and bad migraines) don't help any either.

I think if I was there I probably would have hit the woman. I get in these moods when I haven't had enough sleep and my head hurts and I just can't deal with people at all.

She was smart enough to call me. Everyone was like she asked and yet she lives? :)

Migraines are the worst, aren't they? It's like they take you down completely, making it entirely incapable of functioning. Thank you!

said I'm worried about what you're thinking as I tell you all this. He just sort of looked at me like I had ten heads and I didn't bother to tell him that I would now wonder for the rest of the afternoon what that look meant when even I know, it meant nothing.

These are the type of moments that you think only you feel, but once you say it out loud, you realize that huh, not really alone. Cause wow, my head works exactly the same way, and I would also be obsessing about what that look meant still. It's always nice to know that your neurosis are shared.

As far as your sleeping problem, i need to join in there too. I haven't a good night's sleep since...well, since December...or possibly before then, not sure. Wishing us both better sleeping habits *hugs you*

And that woman at your office, loved your extra onions ploy. And i'm glad this is not something you will allow happen again, especially in an office situation, never do you wanna get stuck in that pushover position. And as cute as the teasing may have been, the joke sounds ( ... )

It's so funny because a lot of the time when reading your LJ, I nod and think, ah, totally. I so get that. We'll be neurotic together! It's fun!

I usually get a good week in sleeping wise and then I'm awake for a month with 2 hours here and there until I get so worn down that I can't do anything. Why is sleeping such a problem for us (and I mean, I see so many people complain about lack of sleep...it's such a large problem for so many people).

Thanks, Ali!

Loved (!) the 'extra' onions :) Good for you!

I hate asshats like that - I've worked with many in my life :)

Good for you for not letting it happen again, though. Enough is enough. You go girl!!! Does *anybody* say that anymore - LOL!!

Re: the anti-anxiety meds - I take them to combat a certain phobia I have. And it works!! It takes the *edge* off, so that I can function. Good luck.

Thanks! The meds are working...definitely relax me but I still have trouble falling asleep. They help me sleep through the night, though, so yay for that!

Sorry to hear about your crappy day & stress, hope you feel better soon. Just wanted to say 'hi' because I friended you recently - initially because of your beautiful BtVS icons, but I've been really enjoying reading your thoughts on other things too. Also, was pleasantly surprised to see P/J stuff - I honestly didn't even know there was still a Dawson's Creek fandom out there! My first fannish obsession - not that I knew anything about fandom when I was big into that show.

Anyway, I'm Laura, 19, from New Zealand, Art History & Media major... now you know. Thanks so much for sharing your art.
