Thank you to you all for your support and sentiments about my NYC adventures. Telling the story has been an interesting experience in of itself. I have gotten the full range of responces from "Wow, that is so great, I am so proud of you" to "You got what you deserved" and "I'm jelous". And the saga continues...here's the latest: When I was released I was given a DAT (Desk Appearance Ticket) which says that I have to reappear to be arrigned. The f@#$%ing NYPD wanted to avoid a fine for keeping me in past 5pm so they released me without ever going before a judge. I explained to them that I was from out of state and the desk officer made it seem as though it was no big deal. I later discovered that it is and I have to return to NYC on Oct. 6 to be arrigned or else a warrant will be issued for my arrest. So I have to buy anothr ticket to NYC, miss another day of work and do this all the day I return from my Hawaii vacation. I am just trying to keep a positive attitude about it all and juyst be greatful that it isn't during my vacation. Right now I am looking into flights from LAX to NYC. Might as well go straight there rather than returning home and having additional flight time. So that means I will be flying from Hawaii to NYC in one day. Nice! I'm still proud of what I did and will take whatever I have to in order to put this all behind me.
