99% of this movie was filmed in Savannah. No it doesn't take place here, but we're awesome like that. You guys know how much I love where I live, so GO support the filming of movies here.
ALSO, all of the people driving carriages in the movie are coworkers of mine. All of the harness horses are rescued Standardbreds from New Holland. They literally came from the kill pen to Savannah, and were filming 3 weeks later. They now live on 60 acres of paradise in North Carolina, and are still used for films. These horses were boarded at our carriage barn, so I got to know them. All of the riding horses belong to friends of mine at Norwood Stables.
The brief scene in the trailer of the train engine is where my wedding reception was.
The reason I'm not in the movie is because it was not period authentic for women to drive carriages, and it took too long to put a beard on a girl. No. I'm not bitter or anything.
