I think I managed my energy better this year than last because I knew I was going to be overwhelmed and so whenever I didn't have to be doing something that I'd committed to doing, I pretty much laid down and tried to rest. I managed to get some good time with a few of my favorite people, but there were many more friends I wish I could have spent

I will likely try to follow up on the mezzuah idea, just need to figure out a few things about what words to put in the doorways and whether they'll be painted on, written on, or written on a wee scroll and put in a wee box that's fastened to an internal doorway.

and I keep having weird ideas about borrowing my landlord's truck and driving over with a truckload of compost for s. Is that a weird gift? Most people don't want a truckload of shit, but maybe s. would?

Yes, he (we) would! I totally appreciate the value of good soil. Shannon calls me a dirt nerd, cause I work in soil and resource conservation and studied soil science in college. We used to make truckloads of compost from vegetable trimmings at the health food store we worked at. It might be a weird gift, but we are weird too so it's all good. :)
