If you sent me an email lately and I haven't replied, it's because internet has been out at home and I've been at home for days at a time because of being sick (and holidays before that). Consequently when I was near a computer I failed to get through all my backlogged email. I didn't fall off the planet and I will hopefully be back in contact a bit more now.
That cold sucked. It was a weird one, too. Kept getting steadily worse for 5 days straight, then gone in another 2.
I got a lot of work done on my not-going-to-call-it-a-book-yet, and also managed to scrape together something for the IRS, got my Pantheacon presentation ready, and watched a lot of movies. We also checked out some episodes of a *gasp* TELEVISION show, which is pretty unusual for us (outside of Southpark that is). I picked it up kind of at random in the video store while looking for dvd's in a sinus fog. If you like entertainment/art that is: historical, dark, weird, religious, magickal, or (like me) prefer all of the above; you will like this show called
Carnivale. It's hard to describe, but think of an American Gothic Dustbowl-era mystery, populated with carnival freaks, creepy imagery, omens and weird magick. Traveling carnival freakshow as Babylon, the city of the fallen, haunted by shades of the apocalypse. My new favorite bit of screen.
covenantscave, you should tell Cynthia to check this out. We both thought of her right away, it's totally her kind of thing.
