*chelsea's head explodes*

I just texted my director to see if I was in the scenes we rehearse tomorrow night since Saturday, my best friend ran off with my folder with all my scripts and music and schedules in it. Tuesday he said he had it and would bring it thursday, and I was cool with that... and then NOW I texted Chris to find out if I was in the scenes and had to be there or not and he goes 'yes! Act's one and two, off book'

... For the non-theatrical, 'off book' means knowing your lines and blocking without using a script.

... I got Act 1 Scene 1 and we didn't rehearse it that night. I wasn't at the act 1 rehearsal because my truck died and it was saturday at 8am and I had NO way to get there... I didn't get a act 1 scene 2 script so I have NO idea if I'm even in it!!! I don't know ANYTHING about Act 1 as far as blocking and lines go!!! Act 2 I don't have any lines, just actions in ONE small TINY bit (literally I stand by a chair, then walk over and stand on a stump, then run off stage) but Act 1 Scene 1 I have a decent length line that I NEVER learned because the night he gave us that one we went straight into the short plays we did for the fall festival and I focused all my time on learning lines for THOSE!

Since I haven't had my rehearsal schedule which was in that folder, I didn't know WHAT was WHEN and I had NO idea that I needed to be off book when I DON'T EVEN HAVE A SCENE TWO SCRIPT! I'm pretty sure I'm not IN that one, thank GOD, but still, I don't like this, fuck it!

Why the hell when I TOLD them tuesday that I don't have my scripts did NOBODY feel the need to go 'well, maybe we should get you a copy of the scripts then so you know what you need to know'.

I'm sure somebody won't have their lines learned either, I won't be ALONE here, but I don't like that I brought it up that I wasn't prepared and NOBODY (coughdirectorcough) felt the need to tell me I needed to know by TOMORROW so I could ask him to email me a copy or something.

grrr!, theater
