After two days of Tom staying with him, Andrej started to regain his confidence and decided it was best for them both if Tom went home, got back to work, and let Andrej be strong on his own again. He hated to see him go, but they both agreed it was for the best.
A week to let all the bruising go down, talk to his agents to get his next contract lined up since the last was, obviously, voided when the designer was arrested for attempted sexual assault, and he was ready to get on with his career. In two weeks he had an appointment with the wedding planner Bill had hired where they would be looking at wedding gowns. Andrej was very excited to look at wedding gowns. He often daydreamed about walking down the aisle towards his gorgeous fiancé with all eyes on him in his big princess style wedding dress.
The wedding dress was the first issue he ran into when they met with the wedding planner.
Her name was Alice, which he liked automatically when they first met, and she was a nice middle aged lady, very modern and professional, but soon after he found that was all she liked. Bill really liked her, so Andrej could tell immediately why she’d been hired, but the things she suggested clashed with everything Andrej had in mind.
“Andrej, I think you’ll LOVE this one,” Alice said as she, Bill, and Lola, the only of his bridesmaids free for the weekend, waited for him to come out in the first dress.
Andrej came out and everybody gasped and clapped. “Aww, you’re so beautiful!” Lola sighed and Bill clapped happily.
“You’re so pretty!” he squeaked and Andrej went to the mirror.
“Well, it is pretty,” he said, making a face. “It’s just… not exactly what I want,” he said, giving Alice an apologetic look.
“Oh that’s fine!” she said patiently. “What about it is wrong?” she asked. “So we can find something else for you!” she said, calling for the shop owner to come back.
Andrej bit his lip. “Well… I like the color?” he offered, and everybody shot him flat looks. “What?! I do!”
“It’s white. Of course that’s the color,” Bill said pointedly and Andrej shrugged. “There’s nothing you like?” he asked in confusion.
“No, I like it,” Andrej said, turning to look at the back. “But it’s nothing like the style I said I wanted.”
“You said you wanted a train,” Bill said, and Andrej nodded, looking at the short train.
“Yes, but… big!” he said, holding out his arms. “I want a big dress, poofy!” he said, waving his hands. “A big full skirt and everything.”
Bill sighed. “Alright, let’s try another,” he said, and Andrej followed the shop owner back into the changing room.
The second dress was better, but still not very fluffy. “I like it,” he said, twirling some. “But it doesn’t touch the floor. And there’s no train. And it’s still not very fluffy,” he said pointedly. “Also, isn’t this real fur?” he asked, touching the fur along the top.
Bill’s eyes widened. “What?!”
Alice bit her lip. “Is that a problem?” she asked, looking uneasy.
Andrej shrugged, pursing his lips. “For me it isn’t, but I really doubt it’s a good idea to let the man I’m marrying know it’s real-“
“You cannot wear real fur!” Bill said, and Andrej rolled his eyes.
“I do wear real fur, I like it, but I’ve got the decency to only wear it when I’m not with Tom, so I guess if we do go with fur, which I like,” he added. “We should go with faux.” He turned to Alice. “Bill and Tom are vegetarians and are involved with PETA,” he explained. “Besides,” he turned to Bill. “I’ve seen you wear real leather,” he pointed out, and Bill rolled his eyes.
“I had no choice, it’s what I was given by wardrobe! All of my leather is fake, as are my furs,” he defended.
Andrej waved a hand. “Whatever, I like it though,” he said. “I’d actually really like a fur shrug maybe,” he said, looking at the texture. “It would cover my lack of breasts so that my figure didn’t suffer.”
“Well, much more of a skirt and your figure is going to suffer,” Alice pointed out. “You’re very thin and tall, so a poofy skirt will erase any curves,” she added.
Andrej shrugged. “Get a dress with a corset bodice then,” he offered. “I want a BIG dress,” he emphasized. “This?! This is nothing, I want to feel like a princess. I don’t want to be able to SIT,” he stressed. “I grew up in the nineties with all the Disney films as my babysitters. I want to feel like Cinderella on my wedding day,” he said, twirling as he daydreamed. “Actually, I’d really like cap sleeves,” he added. “If I can’t have a fur shrug, I want cap sleeves or maybe even long lace sleeves,” he said, smiling as he daydreamed. “I want big and puffy and snow white and a big long train!” he said brightly.
“It will really destroy your figure, Andrej. That style looks best on a short woman, not a tall one,” Alice advised and Andrej shook his head.
“I don’t care how dumpy I look, it’s what I want and I’m the bride,” he said with a hint of finality, going to take off the gown.

When they left the boutique, Alice bid them farewell and promised to have more gowns for him the next time they met. Bill was just tired of Andrej not liking any of his suggestions on anything. “Are you coming home with me?” he asked, and Andrej rolled his eyes.
“Are you kidding? Like I’m not going to go see Tom,” he said, and Lola laughed as they all climbed into Bill’s SUV.
“I’m shocked you didn’t fly in yesterday so you could go see him right off,” she said, and Andrej shrugged.
“I’m working a lot to make up for that contract,” he said and she gave him a sympathetic pat on the arm.

Tom was writing something with Gustav, using the tabletop to keep a beat since they were in the living room, not the practice room, when he heard the door open and Bill grumbling at someone. “Uh-oh, must’ve been difficult,” he said, and Gustav snickered.
“When is Bill not?” he asked and Tom grinned.
“I meant his day, asshole,” he said, shoving the drummer playfully.
“Hey handsome,” a voice called, and Tom looked up, smiling widely when he saw Andrej walking in, spotting Bill and Andrej’s friend walking on past the doorway.
“Hey baby,” Tom said, tilting his head up to meet Andrej’s kiss when he got to him. “How did the day go?” he asked, scooting over so Andrej could sit beside him.
Andrej sighed, laying his cheek against Tom’s shoulderblade, sliding an arm around him as he sat nearly behind him, picking at the headstock of Tom’s guitar in his lap. “Nobody will listen to me, they keep trying to talk me out of what I want,” he said, and Tom frowned.
“You’re the bride, you get what you want,” he said, sliding his hand down to lace with Andrej’s on his belly.
“I told them that and I will get what I want, but Alice keeps saying what I want is going to make me ugly and I don’t care! I’m a man wearing a wedding dress, does she really think I care how odd I’ll look in a fit not made for my body type?!” he asked with a pout as he shifted to lay his chin on Tom’s shoulder. “They want me in something long and sleek and I get it, I really do, but I don’t want that. I want to be a princess!”
Tom turned and kissed his cheek. “You will be then. You’re a super model, you can make the ugliest clothes pretty. And besides, you’re marrying a rock star, a little crazy is expected,” he said, and Andrej giggled.
“Exactly!” he said, then sat up. “So, what are you two writing?” he asked, looking at the notebook laid on the couch between Tom and Gustav.
Tom grinned. “About all the women Gustav gets,” he said, and Gustav reddened and rolled his eyes.
Andrej raised an eyebrow, glancing at the blank sheet on the page that was facing up. “Dry spell, huh?” he asked, and Gustav gaped.
“Wow, you two are going to be seriously happy together,” he said and Tom smirked while Andrej giggled.
“Aww, we’re playing, Gustav-“
“I’m not,” Tom said, and Andrej flicked his ear, making him pout.
“I think you’re really sexy,” Andrej said with a smirk. “I know, unlike these oafs you call band mates, that if you wanted, you could get any woman out there, you just don’t bother,” he finished, and Gustav chuckled.
“Well, women to seem to like my butt,” he allowed and Andrej laughed.
“Of course they do! Hell, I like your butt! I wish I had more of one,” he said, looking forlornly at his backside. “The only people with flatter asses than mine are Bill and Tom,” he said with a dramatic sigh.
Tom smirked, turning to look at him. “I like your butt the way it is,” he said in a low voice, making Andrej wink at him. “It’s small but a perfect handful-“
“TOM!” Andrej squeaked when Tom snuck a hand down to grab his ass. “Not in front of Gustav,” he chastised, pecking Tom’s cheek before standing. “Alright, you two get back to writing, I’ve gotta go stop Bill from killing Lola,” he said, rolling his eyes.
He followed the voices he heard upstairs, raising an eyebrow when he followed them to Bill’s bedroom. He peeked in, curious as to exactly what he’d be interrupting, only to gape when he saw Lola taking off her clothes. “AHHH!” he shouted, slapping a hand over his eyes.
“Andrej?” Lola called and Andrej peeked, frowning when he saw Bill wasn’t around.
“Was that Andrej shouting?” Andrej’s confusion deepened when Bill came walking out of his closet with a hanger in his hands, barely seeming to notice the nearly naked girl in his bedroom. “What are you doing?” he asked, looking at Andrej funny.
“Uh… what exactly am I interrupting? Should I go away?” he asked, and Lola looked at Bill then herself and smirked.
“Oh so that’s what you think,” she said, and Bill laughed.
“Yes, Andrej, I’m seducing her, run away,” he said flatly, rolling his eyes. “She’s trying on my clothes. Wanna join?” he asked, nodding at the closet. He headed back in without waiting for an answer. “Now Lola, these will probably be too long, but they should fit.”
Andrej just flopped down on Bill’s bed, snickering at Lola, who was standing there in her underpants and shirt. “Sexy,” he teased as she pulled on the pants Bill brought her, smiling when they buttoned.
“Wow, you are thin,” she said, looking at her reflection in the mirror on the door. “What top goes with them?” she asked Bill, who was back in the closet once more.
“Hmm, I think this one,” Bill called and Andrej heard rattling. Lola hummed and stripped off her shirt, not seeming to care she wasn’t wearing anything underneath. Andrej was amused, since he’d seen her naked plenty of times, but couldn’t wait for Bill’s reaction. “It’s one of these, probably the red- EEP!” Bill squeaked, eyes wide and mouth hanging open as he gaped at Lola, who simply took the red shirt from his lifeless hand and worked it off the hanger, pulling it on over her head thoughtlessly.
Andrej bit his lip as Bill gaped still, even though her boobs were covered now. “Those are breasts, Bill. Girls have them,” he said slowly, as if explaining to a child.
Bill’s jaw snapped shut and he flushed bright red, turning to Andrej with embarrassment written on his face. “I’ve seen boobs before, you jerk-“
“Yes, in pictures and on videos-“
“On your chest,” Bill retorted, rolling his eyes, and Andrej laughed.
“I don’t have tits, Bill,” he said, then hummed, looking down at his tee-shirt covered chest. “Well… okay, a little bit, but that’s nothing new anymore, had them since Tom and I got together-“
“Tom made you have tits?” Lola asked, grinning as she stripped again, earning another squeak and hand slapped across his eyes from Bill.
Andrej froze, realizing neither of them knew. “Um… no, nothing like that,” he said, then bit his lip. “Uh… Bill, I know you won’t mention what I’m gonna say, but Lola, you can’t ever repeat this, right?” he said, and she nodded, frowning as she pulled her shirt back on.
“What is it? You really a girl?” she asked, then hummed. “You know, I always suspected-“
“Hey!” Andrej said, offended. “I’m not a girl,” he said, rolling his eyes. “Just after I turned twenty, I started to square up, so my agent basically demanded I start a hormone regimen to gain my feminine figure back-“
Bill’s eyes flew open. “WHAT?!”
Andrej nodded. “The time I was here and kept shouting and my moods changed and I was really upset and stressed? I was still adjusting to the hormones, and my financial situation was bad, so I was very stressed. After I left that time, the next time I saw Tom I was ashamed of the way I had sorta grown tiny breasts and I kept hiding my body and making him turn out all the lights during sex-“
“Ew,” Bill whined and Andrej snickered.
“But he found me cleaning up the pills when I spilled them so I told him everything. After he stayed with me after that, I realized he was probably the real deal,” he said, smiling happily. “And it’s nothing serious, I’m not like… part-woman. They’re very low dose, they just make my body fat deposit in more feminine areas, like my hips and thighs and bum, and, unfortunately, my chest,” he said, shrugging. “I can’t admit to the hormones, so nobody but Tom knew until this, but I can trust you guys and I’m not ashamed of it anymore. They haven’t hurt me or anything and I’ve been on them a while now.”
“You know,” Bill said, grinning. “When you stop them one day, you’ll grow a beard and chest hair,” he said with a smirk and Andrej made a face.
“Ew, it’s called electrolysis darling. The minute I go back to growing facial hair, not that I grew much to start with, I’m getting it lasered,” he said and Lola snorted.
“I wish I could afford it. Waxing is fucking expensive nowadays,” she said, and Bill grimaced at the thought.
Andrej smirked. “Well I can’t now but by the time I’m old and stop taking hormones cause my modeling days are over, I’ll have a rich husband to pay for it,” he said, giggling.
Bill snorted. “Unless he keeps buying shit for you like he does. I swear, I know money isn’t an issue, but he really spends a lot on you. Normal people don’t make the money in their lifetime that he’s spent buying you nice things,” he pointed out.
Andrej bit his lip. “I always feel so awkward when he spends money on me. I know he’s able to, but I’m still not used to the idea. I grew up a refugee, you know? Even in Australia, my mum was just a working class lady raising two kids. I make more than most models and I still can’t buy her a nice house like I want, you know?” he said, shrugging. “Tom can buy me gifts and such, but even when we’re married, I’m paying for my things I buy with money I earn. I don’t want people to think I’m marrying him just because he’s worth a lot.”
Bill smiled. “As much as I tease you for it, I know you would love Tom even if he was like many rock stars and in debt up to his eyeballs,” he said begrudgingly. “You’re annoying and look like a girl, but you’re honest, I’ll give you that.”
Lola laughed. “You really love him, don’t lie,” she said and Bill made a face. “You love your future brother-in-law, don’t joke.”
“Don’t make me vomit,” Bill said flatly, making Andrej smile.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“So, you’re marrying Tom Kaulitz, right?” Andrej turned to the model in the makeup chair next to him and she grinned.
“Well, yes,” he said, smiling. “In the winter. I think late November or early December.”
She hummed. “I still can’t believe somebody landed that one,” she said, shaking her head with an amused chuckle. “You’d think if anybody was gonna do it, it would be somebody with a great body,” she said, and Andrej balked at her apparently unintentional insult. “I mean, I slept with him once years ago, you know?” she said, then turned and tugged her top up, not seeming to care about all the people in the room with them before baring her upper body to them all. “He’s had this and clearly much better and still landed himself with you,” she said, waving a hand, before smiling. “No offense, obviously, I think you’re a wonderful model and very beautiful,” she reassured, though Andrej was gaping. “I just mean to say, the man’s a womanizing whore who has had the hottest and most beautiful women in the world in his bed and he ended up deciding to marry a skinny little boy,” she said, chuckling and waving a hand like it was a joke.
“Well gee, thanks for that,” Andrej said dryly. He narrowed his eyes. “Really though, I never expected to run into one of his old dates,” he said, and she laughed, completely clueless.
“Ah hell, I’m pretty sure half my floor slept with him that weekend! Never seen a man who could sleep with so many women and actually satisfy most of them,” she said, then leaned over. “Say, does he still have that lip piercing?! It felt really amazing to have that cold lip ring contrast with his warm lips-“
“WOW, okay!” Andrej said, holding up a hand. “I’m really not sure if it’s a cultural thing or just your friends or if you’re just insane, but you don’t generally start talking sexual experiences when the person you’re talking to is MARRYING the man you had the experience with!” he said, greatly offended. “Honestly, do you I have any interest in knowing how other people find my fiancé in bed?! I’m able to accept that my man has had plenty of pussy in his life, I mean, I was no innocent little flower when we met either, but really…I do not want to think about how lucky I am my fiancé hasn’t given me herpes,” he said pointedly.
She gave him a confused pout. “I’m sorry, I just-“
“You just insulted me and then started talking about how you and all your friends loved my future husband’s lip-ring on your skin, do you really think nothing is wrong there?!” he asked, then stood to walk off, not caring that his makeup wasn’t finished. He couldn’t believe the girl had been that stupid and insulting to him.
Andrej sighed heavily, rolling onto his stomach as he listened to Tom talk, putting his phone on speaker as he laid it beside him and picked at the threads on the blanket below him absently, barely paying attention to Tom. He didn’t realize Tom had stopped talking until he heard his name. “Andrej? Andrej? Are you there anymore? Did the call drop?”
“No, I’m here,” Andrej said, sighing.
Tom was quiet for a moment. “Are you alright? Did I say something?” he asked and Andrej groaned at his nervousness.
“No, Tom, I’m just… not the happiest today, that’s all,” he said softly.
“Did I do something? Are you angry at me or just in general?” Andrej heard how sincere Tom sounded and couldn’t help but groan. They were always honest with each other and he didn’t want to tell Tom, but knew he couldn’t not.
“I just… ran into a girl I never thought I’d meet today,” Andrej said evasively.
Tom hummed. “Was she somebody I’d know? Do you have some old rival or something? Ex-girlfriend?” he asked, chuckling, only to stop. “Wait, I don’t know if you’ve ever had a girlfriend… oh my God, we’re getting married in a few months and I don’t even know what your actual sexuality is!” Tom panicked, and Andrej laughed.
“Yes, no, no, yes, and I’m Tom-sexual,” Andrej answered, making Tom laugh.
“So I’d know her, she isn’t a rival or ex, you have had a girlfriend before, and aww, does that mean you knew a girl named Tom?” he finished, making Andrej smile.
“Yes, exactly. I dated a girl named Tom, of course,” he said, rolling his eyes. Tom was just too cute sometimes. “I just… I ran into one of the many girls you’ve hooked up with in the modeling industry and I wasn’t sure how to respond to the stupid blonde is all,” he said, sighing as he rolled over and stared up at the ceiling. “I mean, how the hell am I meant to respond to one of my fiancé’s former hook-ups?!”
Tom groaned. “Ah, about that-“
“Tom, I know you’ve hooked up with tons of models other than me. I was a hook-up, Tom, I just happened to stick around.” He sighed. “It isn’t that you’ve been with so many women, it’s never really been a problem with me since I understand the allure, hell, if I’d been famous as young and as long as you have, I’m pretty sure there would be so many notches in my headboard it was just a toothpick left! It’s just the fact I met a girl you’ve fucked and she wasn’t rude like I had mentally prepared myself for, she was just STUPID!” he groaned, and Tom chuckled.
“Well, Schatzi, to be honest, the easy ones usually are,” he said, then quickly added, “Besides you, you’re not stupid at all, you were the one to seduce me anyways, so that makes me the stupid easy one!”
Andrej snorted. “Sure, I’ll let that slide.” He sighed. “She wasn’t being mean, she just started going all ‘I can’t believe that Tom Kaulitz had so many gorgeous and sexy women and most of them had tits like this-‘ at which point she took off her top to show me her tits, I might add,” he interjected. “ and she was all ‘he’s had all of them and then he was landed by a skinny little boy’ and she wasn’t rude on purpose, she thought I was amazing and beautiful and one of her model idols, but like… she was even talking about how half her floor slept with you and all agreed that they love how your tongue-ring feels in contrast to your lips! She was TELLING me all of this! Who the fuck is stupid enough to discuss their past sexcapades with the person’s future spouse?!?” he asked, groaning. “I just… I can’t stand the thought that, most likely, it’ll happen again! You’ve slept with so many women I’ll inevitably run into another and she will probably be the same.”
Tom sighed. “I never feel regret for my past until you remind me how sleazy it all really was-“
“Tom, it’s not,” Andrej stressed. “Okay, sure, by most standards, it is really whorish and slutty that you’ve slept with triple digit women, but it isn’t like I’m not in the double digits and I was only out and about and semi-famous, or whatever, for three years before I met you. You were a rock star for over twice as long, it makes sense you’d sleep with groupies all the time! I’ve always been impressed you were faithful to me without any guarantee I’d be faithful back those first few months after we met, so I have no problem or resentment towards the fact dozens of women have seen my fiancé’s dick. I just don’t want to face it myself.”
“I’m sorry,” Tom said softly and Andrej sighed.
“Yeah, whatever, I’m going to bed, love you and goodnight,” he said, hanging up as soon as ‘love you too’ was out of Tom’s mouth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Andrej hadn’t spoken with Tom in three days, so he was worried how Tom would react when he arrived in LA to stay with them for two weeks. He felt bad for ignoring Tom, it wasn’t his fault, but at the same time, the woman only made him more and more insecure about their relationship. He knew it was going to be that way, but nothing stopped the embarrassment of running into women who had slept with the man he was marrying.
It made him think about all of the other things they had never really thought about. Tom had brought up the fact that they had never talked about Andrej’s exes, since Tom didn’t really have any, and they had never discussed their futures or how things would change when they were married… there was so much they didn’t know about each other.
When the car he’d had pick him up pulled up to Bill and Tom’s house, he was out before the gate had shut behind them. He had to apologize for ignoring Tom. When he got to the door, he waited for it to be answered with a nervous and apologetic look on his face. The door was opened by Bill, who crossed his arms.
“About time you came groveling,” he said with a bitchy look. “You made Tom upset. He’s so miserable about how much of a whore he was now that he’s all worried you’re really cross-“
“Save it, Bill, I feel like shit already, no need to make it worse,” he said, shoving past him. “I told him, I don’t judge him for being a slut, I just didn’t handle it well when I ran into a woman who was telling me all about how it was when she slept with the man I’m marrying,” he said, sighing. “Where is Tom?” he asked, turning back to Bill.
Bill rolled his eyes. “Back yard. He’s trying to woo you back into a good mood by something that’s his idea of romantic. He’s an idiot,” he said, shaking his head.
Andrej sighed. “I just… I’ve been thinking,” he said softly. “About how much we don’t know about each other. We’re getting married in a few months and we’ve never even talked about our plans for the future, you know?”
Bill just shot him a look. “If you call off this wedding and hurt my brother, I’ll kill you, just so you know,” he said, and Andrej smiled.
“I love him, I’m going to marry him, I just… feel worried is all,” he said, shrugging. “Let me go find Tom,” he said, rolling his eyes as he shrugged his jacket back on, reflecting on the fact it was actually one of Tom’s massive jackets he had stolen at some point, since he was dressed down in jeans and a tee shirt beneath the jacket.
When Andrej stepped outside, he could see Tom in the middle of the back yard doing something that involved dragging what appeared to be a massive wok across the grass. “What one earth are you up to?” he asked, tugging the jacket close around himself as the breeze ruffled his hair. It was still warm in the sun, but the sunset and breeze combined made it chilly.
Tom looked up and blushed. “Andrej! Hi, you’re… early,” he said, cringing as he yanked one last time before seeming to decide the big black thing was in place. “Uh… so, I still have to get the blankets,” he said, looking up when Andrej got to his side. “Hi,” he said awkwardly.
Andrej sighed, and slid his arms around Tom, leaning into him, laying his head on Tom’s shoulder. “I’m sorry I got weird,” he said, pressing his lips to Tom’s neck.
Tom shook his head, curling his arms around Andrej’s middle, clinging to him. “It’s okay, I guess we’re both stressed lately. This is just… so big,” he said, and Andrej nodded, closing his eyes as he relaxed into Tom’s hold.
“I miss you when I’m gone, I’m always thinking about wedding stuff, I’m working a lot lately, and I keep thinking of things we don’t have any idea about-“
Tom cut him off, nudging Andrej’s head off his shoulder so he could look at him. “Tonight, let’s just talk about everything, okay?” he asked, sliding his fingers through Andrej’s hair. Andrej nodded, and Tom smiled, leaning in to kiss him sweetly.
Andrej smiled against his lips, curling his fingers around Tom’s hand. “So, what is this big pot?” he asked, kicking the thing Tom was dragging when he walked out.
Tom smiled brightly. “Well, when it gets good and dark, you and I are roasting marshmallows and curling up to look at whatever stars are visible out here… so probably the moon and some passing planes, but whatever, it’s the thought, right?” he asked, and Andrej laughed, shaking his head.
“You’re too sweet,” he said, meaning every word of what he said. “Come on, I’ll help you out,” he said, lacing their fingers together as they headed inside.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Andrej giggled as Tom’s marshmallow caught on fire and he squeaked then waved the wire hanger around frantically, trying to put it out. He nearly choked on his own as he laughed at Tom’s reaction. He fell over against the blankets and pillows they had brought, fighting to note choke when Tom finally stopped fighting, staring at his burned marshmallow for a moment before shrugging and eating it anyways. Andrej snorted. “Tom! That’s got to be horrible!” he cried, and Tom shrugged, smiling around his treat.
“Not really,” he said, voice slightly muffled as he still has marshmallow in his mouth. “I like them a little burned.”
Andrej giggled but stayed lying, looking up at Tom, who was sitting beside him. “Hmm, new thing learned about you number one of the evening,” he said, and Tom smiled down at him.
“How do you like yours best?” Tom asked, and Andrej chuckled.
“Honestly? I like them normal out of the bag best,” he said, and Tom snagged one, holding it out for Andrej, who bit it out of his fingertips, nearly biting Tom’s thumb.
Tom nodded. “See, now I know something new about you.”
Andrej shifted, laying his head on Tom’s thigh, looking up at him directly. “Tom, we’ve never talked much at all about real things we should think about before we go and get married,” he said, and Tom nodded, giving his attention to the man in his lap.
“Alright, ask away,” Tom said, and Andrej sighed, thinking.
“Well… what are your plans for your future? Do you have any long term goals?” he asked.
Tom cringed. “I’ve never thought about asking you or talking about it but, some day, eventually, I want to move back to Germany,” he said, stroking Andrej’s hair across his jeans. “I just… miss it, if I’m honest. It’s my home, you know?” he said, and Andrej nodded. “Would you… be willing to come with me like that? I mean, obviously not soon or anything, but some day I want to go home.”
Andrej smiled. “It would be weird if I can’t learn the language, but I love Germany, so I can see it,” he said, thinking. “I think by then I want to really be living together. I mean, for at least the next few years, my main ‘home’ is still going to be the apartment in New York for work, but whenever I get less popular and don’t work so much, I want to have a home with you. I want us to be a real married couple.”
Tom smiled. “I like that. I want that someday too,” he agreed. “Do you really think you’ll ever stop modeling at all? I mean, there’s always older models who model for more elegant and less involved things,” he said, and Andrej nodded.
“I think so. I mean, maybe not completely leave the fashion industry, but I definitely meant it when I said I want to study law some day. I honestly doubt my popularity will last more than a few years. I mean, my work will probably always be appreciated for Gaultier or someone else who has hired me multiple times, but it can’t be long before my shock factor isn’t shocking anymore,” he said, shrugging. “I figure the latest I’ll let it go is thirty. Probably less. Then I’ll study law and look into that.” He bit his lip, looking up at Tom nervously. “How do you feel about me stopping what I do?” he asked, and Tom smiled.
“Well, I say this as someone who loves you for who you are,” he started, then stroked Andrej’s cheek. “Model’s don’t have the greatest shelf life,” he said gently, and Andrej laughed.
“So basically, you think I’ll quit when I’m not pretty anymore?” he asked, and Tom blushed.
“Well, to me you’ll always be beautiful, I’m sure, but well… it makes sense. Some day you won’t be as young and gorgeous as you are now and that’s your job.” He shrugged. “I’ll still love you though, so yes, I’d support whatever you did want to do.”
Andrej bit his lip nervously, sitting up suddenly. “What if I told you that some day, I want to have children?” he said, looking down at his knees, barely breathing.
Tom just smiled, eyes softening. “Really?” he asked, and Andrej nodded sheepishly.
“Not soon or anything, but… I’d like a child. Or children. Someday, I’d love to be a parent and raise a family,” he said, then glanced up at Tom uneasily, clearly afraid he would scare Tom off.
Tom rolled his eyes. “Do you really think my brother is the only one that likes children?” he asked, and Andrej gaped.
“Bill likes kids?!” he asked, looking shocked.
Tom laughed. “Oh yes, he loves babies. I mean, I don’t know how he feels about older kids, but he adores babies. I like them all, really. I don’t think I’ve ever thought about having my own or anything, but… I think I’d like that with you,” he said, and Andrej’s smile widened.
“You are too perfect,” Andrej said, leaning over to kiss Tom quickly. “Wow, so your idea,” he said, giggling as he leaned into Tom’s side, “Is to move back to Germany, settle down with your former model, current law degree holding husband and adopt children?” he asked, and Tom hummed.
“That doesn’t sound like a bad place to be in ten years,” he said softly, reaching up to cup Andrej’s cheek, leaning in to kiss him again.
Andrej smiled. “And with Bill we’d have a built in babysitter,” he said, and Tom laughed.
“Yeah, can’t forget Bill. As important as you are, and our future is, Bill always weighs into the equation,” he said, and Andrej nodded.
“I know. I get that some people would have a problem, but I’ve never cared that Bill is so important to you. I understand and pretty much like it, since I can’t be around often,” he said softly. “I know you’re never alone. You always have somebody to take care of you when I can’t.”
Tom sighed. “How about the past now that we’ve talked future? I mean, we’ve talked about some, but nothing serious.”
Andrej smiled. “Well, there’s not too much else to talk about. I’ve dated girls but prefer boys. I’m not a massive slut, but I’ve slept with enough people to not make you a total whore. My dad’s never really been around even if he does acknowledge us, but my mother and brother are everything to me… I wasn’t picked on in school… uh… what else can I say?”
Tom smiled. “My father was around for a while, but we haven’t seen him in years,” he said. “We talk occasionally, but nothing close. Same thing, my mom and Bill are my family, and our stepfather, too. He loves you and thinks of Bill and I as his own kids. Bill and I were picked on enough we dropped out to be rock stars, so we’re not the most educated, I admit,” he said, and Andrej giggled.
“I always had really good grades in school, but I mostly just studied because this hot boy worked in the library,” he said, and Tom rolled his eyes.
“Of course,” he said sarcastically, making Andrej smile. “How about the present,” he started, catching Andrej’s hand. “Do you still want to marry me in December?” he asked, and Andrej nodded.
“Yes,” he said simply, making Tom smile.
“Then that’s all I need to know,” he whispered, leaning in to kiss Andrej sweetly.
