Today (1 July) marks 5 years since a chick I knew was killed in a car accident. I don't remember how old she was, but it had to be early 20s when she died. I still see her sister a lot and try and remember 'is that Sony or Chat' but then remember Chat has been dead for years.
Sony's never been the same. Poor girl. As you probably noticed by me never telling them apart, they were identical twins and I'm pretty sure the only thing worse that could've happened to Sony is if it had been her son. I can't imagine anything happening to my brother or sisters but I can only imagine it being your twin making it even worse. Her husband said that she knew something was wrong all night before they got called to go to the hospital. He said she walked around for hours because she felt like something was off and she thought she'd forgotten something... thats so wierd, but not hard to believe.
Remember kids! Don't drink and drive! Chat wasnt driving, but she was drunk and got in the car with someone else who didnt think they were too drunk to drive, and then when you crash on the interstate going 70MPH and dont wear a seatbelt... there's really not much of a chance. I hate she died, she didn't deserve it, but its just another reminder about the whole designated driver deal.
