Christmas Morning

After the second battle with Sephiroth, the slightest noise seemed to wake Cloud from even the deepest of slumbers. It came to no real surprise when he was woken the moment the springs of the bed shifted as the woman beside him changed positions. He didn’t move as she moved, curling herself into his side as her head and arm came to rest across his bare chest. She fell still after a few moments finally succeeding in making herself comfortable.

The blonde haired man smiled down at the dark head. The events of the Advent Children fiasco had done more then just laid to rest his guilt of losing Aerith and Zack. It had opened his eyes to bigger things. Like the woman nestled into his side.

Tifa meant the world to him. It pained him to think of anything happening to her. He had nearly died when he had found her beaten in Aerith’s church. There talk that night, after both had recovered, had also helped to open his eyes. He realized then how much she truly cared for him even though she never once come right out and side it. It was moments like these where he felt the most complete, the missing void he had been searching for had been under his nose the whole time.

Cloud ran a hand through the softness of her hair. The young fighter let out a soft sigh at the touch, her hand clenching slightly. A shiver ran through him as her nails raked against the naked flesh. Tifa made him feel things, that only a few years before, he had only imagine.

“I don’t deserve you,” he whispered softly, kissing the top of her head.

She giggled, the vibrations of the sound flooded through him, “You have that right,” her fingers slid upward from his chest to his face. Blue eyes stared into dark as the young woman gave him a beautiful smile, “Morning.”

“Morning,” he continued to ran his fingers through her hair, enjoying the purring coming from the fighter. Tifa leaned down as Cloud moved forward, the pairs lips joining in the middle. Their kiss was soft and sweet at first, Cloud taking his time to taste her. It wasn’t until her nails bit into his shoulder, prompting him to deep it that he did.

The couple so lost in one another didn’t separate until giggling and an awful loud, ‘Aw gross’ resounded from across the room. Cloud broke away first and Tifa slid from his side, eyeing the two children standing in the doorway. Marlene had her hands over her mouth trying to cover her giggles, but they couldn’t hide the huge smile on her pretty little face. Denzel’s hands covered his eyes, though he continued to peek through the little spaces. Upon being caught the children laughed and raced to the bed. Denzel eagerly jumped up as Marlene took her time.

“Tifa, Cloud!” she exclaimed, her long hair from the pink ribbon, “It’s Christmas!”

Tifa laughed at the little girl’s eagerness, “We know.”

Denzel bounced on bed, reminding Cloud of Zack, “Can we open our presents now? Can we?”

Marlene’s hands clapped in front of her, “Yes, please?”

Cloud shook his head, “We should wait for the others to come.”

The duo’s eagerness seemed to melt away for a moment, then they both turned to Cloud with bright puppy eyes. “Please Cloud?”

The blonde shook his head, turning to Tifa for assistance. Her large brown eyes were always bright with a cute pout on her lips. Cloud sighed, running a hand through his unruly hair, “Fine but just one.”

A round of Yay’s sounded in the room and before anyone could blink, the two children had Tifa’s hand and were pulling the busty brunette towards the bedroom door. Tifa met his eyes before she disappeared, offering a wink and blew a kiss. Cloud smiled, swinging his feet over the side of the bed. He made his way to his dresser, gently pulling open a drawer. A velvet box stared back at him. Tonight, he promised himself.

End.
