Backdated to Christmas day (OTA)
Castiel, for once, was in the Christmas spirit this year. He had decorations up both in his apartment and at The Ribbon- though, none of them were nativity scenes or much relating to Good Old Dad (most of it looked like just a celebration of winter- berries, vines, and evergreen trees- very Pagan as Gabe had put it- except for one Santa Claus figure, for the kids... though, honestly, not many visited The Ribbon all that often).
He had put up holly as well, though not mistletoe. However, it was as if mistletoe was following him. Everywhere he turned, there it was, and that was perfectly fine when he was around Meg, but since Cas thought one was supposed to kiss someone every time they were underneath mistletoe... well, let's just say that his attempts to follow that particular tradition did not turn out so well. In fact, a man punched him in the face as reciprocation only to find that Cas had a rather hard head. He broke the man's hand, and tried to apologize and heal him, but the man huffed and stomped away. Cas was glad he was at full-power to heal himself, because he felt rather embarrassed because that was when he found out the truth of the tradition.
Castiel felt terrible for having forced himself on those poor npc* people. Sure, the kisses were close-mouthed and chaste (he had a girlfriend after all!), but he was trying to remember who had told him about the mistletoe tradition. And then it hit him: Gabriel. This was all the Archangel's doing. Words would have to be exchanged.
Cas, following his own tradition, knitted all of his presents again. He was currently at The Ribbon, cleaning and putting away new supplies he had bought from the Apothecary. The Wellness Center was always open, and he was hoping that decorations would invite more people in. Maybe even some new faces.
