The Dragon lies, half-curled up in the sun with her wings spread a bit to catch more of the warmth from the sun. Her golden scales glittering in the light might lead one to believe she is a statue, but closer examination reveals her breathing. Though her eyes are closed, she is instinctually aware of everything happening around her.
Fortunately for the kids playing in the park and occasionally giving a screech (say, when swinging very high on the playset), she doesn't startle easily.
