Post-rehearsal (Wednesday Night, gentle tag to Webb, OTA)

Jun 04, 2014 06:42

Tonight's rehearsal had gone much better than the last week's. When she'd been singing on her own, she warbled all over the place. Each note was in tune, but not always from the same vocal range. Some humiliating snickers from the other members of the chorus and gentle re-instruction had turned her performance around this week.

Her relation to the others in the chorus is helped by the fact that she knows she's not a star-in-the-making, and properly deferential to the others who've been doing this a lot longer.

At the end of the rehearsal, she stands outside the front doors in a black and white ensemble, stretching slightly and taking a deep breath, a happy smile on her face.
