[Insert Dinosaurs theme song here]

Castiel hadn't minded the smaller lizards. Some of the bigger ones were kind of adorable too (even some that weren't herbivores). He really thought about keeping one as a pet, but knew it would likely disappear whenever this ended. Village-created goings-on didn't last very long. Not to mention, his dog might get a little upset if he brought home a ( Read more... )

Krissy let out a small swear as she leaned against one of the fake wooden pillars of the park's playground. While she had managed to stay relatively unharmed throughout the weekend, helping someone across the park led to her being bitten by a dinosaur. She was just thankful it wasn't the T-Rex which she had seen near the beach.

She pressed her hand to her shoulder and it stung which caused her to inhale a hiss. Her shirt was covered in blood and she had a huge bite wound on her left shoulder that was pretty mangled and tore up a lot of skin.

Who she helped seemed to have been able to get away and make it to the hotel at this point, because Cas only saw Krissy now. She looked pretty hurt, and so he appeared over nearer to her.

"What happened? It wasn't venomous, was it?" He asked, but he already started to reach toward her arm.

Having never dealt with in angel before other than a few meetings, Krissy moved around instinctively from his approaching hand.

"I got bit. And I don't know. It's not like I consulted the encyclopedia before I helped out." Krissy made a face at her wound as it stung more.

"I can help." He stepped back and held out his hand, palm forward. Here, anyway, Cas was still a full-blown angel (minus a few changes because of the village). "I can heal it for you." Either completely or at least enough to take away the pain.

She paused and looked at him. Krissy was careful.

"I don't have to, like, make a deal with you or owe you or something?"

"I'm not a Crossroads Demon." He sounded slightly offended by such an accusation. "You wont owe me anything, I just help because I want to." Because he was meant to, or so he believes.

She looked a little skeptical which probably mimicked one of Dean's own looks, but Krissy conceded with a slight nod. The wound hurt a lot.

Cas smiled, but only because she really did remind him of Dean that way.

He reached over and placed his hand just above the wound, eyes glowing blue for a moment as he healed her in an instant.

It stung for a moment and then all the pain was gone. It was the strangest feeling Krissy had ever felt. She blinked a few times and looked down at her shoulder. Rolling it, it felt just as good as it had been before.

"Okay... so that's kinda cool." She looked at him. "Thanks."

"It's no problem." Cas grinned then. "So, dinosaurs, huh? It's better than zombies, I think. It seems cruel of this place to bring them into the mix here, though. I'd rather not kill them if I can help it."

"They're just animals..." Krissy had to agree it seemed cruel. "But just like a bear or wolf, I'm going to kill it if it means saving people or myself."

"That's true. And there are too many to contain until they fade away from here, unfortunately, or I would have suggested that."

"I've come to realize you can't really change anything unless this place wants to let you." Krissy didn't like the idea, but she knew it was true.

"Are you going to help people get inside? Most people should be safe... dinosaurs can't open doors."

She was right about that. "Yes, of course. That's what I was doing when I saw you were hurt. The larger ones don't care what they knock over or crush, though."

"The bigger buildings should be okay... like the hotel and the museum." Krissy was thankful her father made her watch all the Jurassic Park movies.

"Have you run into dinosaurs before today?" Castiel asked. He was a little skeptical about her advice, but really had nowhere else to bring people anyway.
