Castiel hadn't minded the smaller lizards. Some of the bigger ones were kind of adorable too (even some that weren't herbivores). He really thought about keeping one as a pet, but knew it would likely disappear whenever this ended. Village-created goings-on didn't last very long. Not to mention, his dog might get a little upset if he brought home a new friend.
He was out keeping guard, making sure the larger (and smaller) carnivores didn't try to eat anyone, but of course they seemed a little angry. It wasn't their fault that there was such little space here to roam and that the largest population were these strange creatures who made irritating noises (blood-curdling screams) whenever one of them was nearby.
Okay, so he wasn't on the dinosaurs' side, honestly, and he did kill them to protect humanity, but he felt bad about this whole situation. Humans and dinosaurs were never meant to be in the world at the same time.
