Meg didn't like the idea of being in the village with Lucifer and not knowing where she stood. If he was going to kill her or torture her, she figured she might as well get it over with sooner rather than later. Logically he shouldn't be upset. She was a loyal follower and had been his confidant for a long time. Then again, since she knew Lucifer so well, she knew he could be fickle.
So found out he ran The Black Sheep. She liked the name and found it humorous that the humans hadn't made the connection. She'd have thought the Winchesters would have at the very least, but maybe they idenitfied with the name more than anything else. Either way, it was a great place to hide. When she spoke to Lucifer, it seemed he wasn't made at all. He even offered her a job.
While Meg didn't necessarily like the idea of having to work, she did like the idea of having Lucifer's protection. She did still feel loyalty to him and it never hurt to have the Devil on your side. Being a bartender was not the worst thing that could happen, either.
She stood behind the bar and poured a drink for herself. Free drinks also made the job appealing.
