Going to the Picnic (tag Brigid)
This is my first "event" in the village and I'm glad I don't have to go alone. I expect to see a lot of couples or groups of friends at such an outing, so showing up in pleasant company is something I look forward to a lot more than standing around on my own. Easier to blend in, too, though that has become less of an obsession here. In this crazy mix of people, it's not as easy to stand out as it is on my missions back home.
Clad in creme slacks and my favorite blue shirt, my sunglasses dangling from my open collar for now, I make my way over to the Black Falcon to pick up Miss O'Shaughnessy. I expect it'll be an interesting day, for she is interesting company. Classy, too.
