It wasn't that Lancelot didn't feel bad that Arthur was upset he and Merlin had not told him about Merlin's magic. He did. Arthur was his friend, his brother-in-law, and he'd been willing to believe in Lancelot when others had not.
But Merlin's faith in him had never faltered, even when Lancelot had messed up. Merlin had saved them all so many times--and if Arthur or Uther had found that out back home...Merlin's life would hav been forfeit.
In the battle between Athur's pride and Merlin's life, the winner was easy for Lancelot. He'd protected a man's life by his silence, as he had protected his wife. He would not feel guilty about it. Sad, yes, but not guilty.
Life went on, the. And part of that life was his and Morgana's plan to start a family. That was...stunning and heady and huge and h wasn't going to let their life get derailed by others. The problem was, he has no idea what being a father entailed, and while Morgana was not yet with child, he was already fretting.
Which was why, whilst in the bookstore looking for a new book to read (his second favorite thing about this place was acing had a chance to earn), the knight found himself staring at the parenting books, bewildered and slightly overwhelmed.
