The message from Michonne hit Dale hard. He and Andrea had managed to talk about things, clear the air a little with all they'd been through. They'd even managed to have a little fun, with the dances.
And then she was gone, and once again Dale felt very much on his own. Maybe he'd relied on Andrea and Amy too much to help get him through the hell they'd found themselves in, but he couldn't make himself regret it. The worst came now, after she'd been here, and gone again. He worried what she was going back to, how long she could survive.
It was a somewhat quieter than normal Dale that was walking to his shift at the library.
