Kyle stepped out of the hotel that evening with a cautious expression. This was the first time since he arrived that he dared to venture outside when the sun was down. Nathan couldn't help but notice the sixteen year old kid transfixed on the movie. He didn't think he cared about a singing orphan, but he wasn't going to make snap decisions. Anyone looking at Nathan wouldn't be able to tell that he enjoyed documentaries and Disney either.

When the man spoke to him, Kyle was pulled out of his awe. He blinked a few times and turned his head. He looked at the stranger for a moment and then only seemed to register what he said.

"Oh. Uh. Yeah," Kyle said with a nod. "It's nice."

He didn't really have any idea what was going on. Something about a dog.

"First time you've seen the movie Annie?" He'd seen it as a kid, the one and only time he'd seen it actually.

"First time I've seen a movie... actually." Kyle admitted quietly.

His attention was drawn back to the movie briefly when the dog barked, but then when the singing started Kyle turned back to the stranger.
