Annie on a Wall (ota)

Kyle stepped out of the hotel that evening with a cautious expression. This was the first time since he arrived that he dared to venture outside when the sun was down. Doing so back home was dangerous. Terminators had infrared and hunted better at night. He knew the village a little better now thanks to day-time scouting opportunities and talking with Kyla every day. He could see how she was John Connor's daughter. He also found it easy to talk to her. Like Star, but Kyla would talk back.

It felt good to be clean, but it also felt awkward. It was like a layer of protection was gone, but the dirt was just what he was used too. He found clothes in his room, including a jacket worn by the Resistance members. He couldn't help it. When he left the hotel, he was in grey cargo pants, a black t-shirt, and a green Resistance jacket. It was a different kind of armor.

He was drawn outside partly because there was a commotion on the side of the hotel. He had never seen one before, but he knew what it was. A movie. There was a red head on the screen and she was singing. Kyle was more in awe than rapture. He had never seen anything like this before so all he could do was stare. So this was a movie.
