Job Hunting (OTA)
Tony was starting to settle in to the village. He'd enrolled at Magic School just because, hi. It was like Hogwarts and he was curious, okay? Harry had taken him on as a student, too, and, really, that was even more helpful. Their worlds weren't completely the same, maybe, but their magic seemed pretty similar in principle--at least the things Harry had told him so far were in line with what was on Arra's laptop, and, anyway, she'd come from a different world, too.
Maybe magic was just...magic and people maybe had terms that were different for it in different worlds, but it all boiled down to the same thing?
He was contemplating this fact while strolling along with a coffee from the cafe. The morning was crisp and cool and more like home than the hot days when he'd arrived. Apparently they paid you to go to school here (and if they'd done that back home, maybe he wouldn't have dropped out at fourteen), but Tony worked on a television show back home. He was used to fourteen to sixteen hours a day of work and then fighting the forces of evil in his "free" time.
Magic lessons weren't going to cut it, paid or not. He needed something productive to do. There was a video store, and he'd done that for a few years while he got his GED and went to film school, but he wasn't completely sure he wanted to do it again. It was at least known work, though, and since there wasn't a film studio in town, the only other actual job he'd ever held would have him working at the Sin, and he really didn't feel like going back to turning tricks for a living.
So he was wandering and looking, seeing who might have an opening that was something he could figure out how to do. He had time to find the right job, he figured, but you never would find something if you didn't go out and look, either.
[ooc: feel free to run into him wherever, and if you're looking for employees, by all means chat him up! If nothing works out, I may dump him at Fangtasia bartending or something, but it's getting vaguely incestuous in my head to employ all my peeps at my own peeps' businesses. LOL]
