"Wow. Gabe's disappearance really got you down, huh?" Lucifer said as he suddenly appeared sitting on the same slab of stone that Aaron was.

He was clad in a suit and his eyes looked tired around the edges.

"Geezus!" Aaron said, only narrowly avoiding falling on his ass. "Give a guy some warning next time, would you?"

"Nice suit. Do I know you, buddy?" The guy was obviously not Joe Next Door, but Aaron couldn't sense squat from him.

[ooc: I've been playing it that Aaron can't sense Lucifer's angelic presence at all, something that he could clearly do with Gabriel and Michael. Also, that Lucifer's physical appearance was different in Aaron's canon.]

{That's a good idea. His appearance is different to most canons *g* I'm not sure if he'll admit who he is, but Lucifer is surprisingly worried about Aaron, at least at this moment in time.}

Aaron's reaction elicited a smile from Lucifer and he chuckled.

"I like to make an entrance, I can't help it." He said, looking at Aaron. "And no, I don't think you do know me."

Lucifer used the words in a different context. He was sure Aaron didn't truly understand him entirely.

"I knew Gabriel, however." He added.

"Yeah, I'd do that too, if I could." Aaron admitted. "And yeah, I might be missing the smartass just a bit."

He offered his hand. "Name's Aaron, by the way."

"Jerry," he replied as he shook Aaron's hand. "Nice to meet you."

It was comforting on some level to see that Aaron looked well.

"I'm sure he's in a better place," Lucifer said. "Probably with what's-her-name. The one with the mouth on her."

"Debra? Yeah, you're not kidding there." Aaron said, chuckling. "Good to meet you, Jerry. You're a friend of Gabriel's, then?"

He nodded.

"Yep. Very good friend," He answered. "Known him for what seems like forever. Sad to see him go, actually."

He and Gabriel might not have seen eye-to-eye, but they were still brothers and Lucifer did love his family, even if they were all wrong.

"I wonder what'll happen to the candy shop now." Lucifer mused aloud and glanced to Aaron. "You going to take it over?"

"I don't know." Aaron admitted. "It's a thought, though I like working at the shelter, too. How about you? What have they got you doing around here?" He figured it had to be something sort of upscale, if Jerry's suit was any sign.

"I run the Casino and the fight club here." Lucifer answered.

He thought it best not to mention he also owned The Black Sheep in case it came out that Lucifer ran that place.

"I'm a busy man." He said with a smile. "So there's not rule you can't do both, hm?"

Aaron smiled. "Is that what happens if you run up too big a bill at the casino - you end up in fight club?" He laughed. He could definitely see Jerry running a casino - the guy clearly had style and class.

"You're right, of course - I could do both. Have you been stuck here very long?"

He chuckled.

"Maybe if their debt is too bad," He replied, then answered Aaron's question. "Oh, I've been here for over a year now. Seems like less, honestly."

"I'll have to watch myself if I get over there, then." Aaron said, still amused. "Don't get me wrong, though, so days I could go for some fighting."

"I've been here twice, that I know of - about a year and a half since I first arrived."

"And you remember your first time here?" He asked, looking at him.

"Oh, sure." Aaron said. "I showed up all wrath-y, angels trying to kill me and all."

He grinned. "Good thing Gabriel was around to throw some water on me or the village might have had a few less citizens."

Lucifer took some silent pride in Aaron's wrath-like qualities.

"Ah, you seem like a good kid. I'm sure you'd have gotten it under control," He said.

"I don't know." Aaron said, shaking his head. "I think angel!me would rather fight than get head - and that's just so wrong." He smirked.
