Welcome.... what the hell? [ota]
Elle had been exploring the village, anything to clear her thoughts of what had occurred before she arrived in the village. The fact that she was dead. It was cold out, so she was thankful this weird ass village had seen fit to leave her a coat in her hotel closet. Walking down the street, she passed the Welcome Center, taking a moment to look it over. Maybe it would actually tell her something useful. Like what there was to do to stave off the absolute boredom, since apparently she couldn't kill or hurt anyone without the likelihood of getting caught. She stepped up to the collection of brochures. They seemed pretty mundane on the offset, until she read the heading of one.
Frowning, she pulled one out that read, 'How to spot a crazy man who looks like your friend.' Blinking, she opened it up to read. It was all about doppelgangers in the village.
'A crazed clown wants to gut you and kill everyone you care about (including your dog)? Here's what you do.' Okay that one made her laugh. 'For Brooding, Emotionally Tortured Vampires Only' Vampires? Seriously? What was this shit? She went to the next, 'Thought you knew which way you swung until you came here?' A little less crazy sounding, but still sort of a strange pamphlet to see in a Welcome Center.
Her eyes fell on one and her heart sank, 'Things to do in Haurvatat When You're Dead'
She glanced around briefly to see if anyone was around and quickly snatched it to shove in her pocket to read when she was alone
