Zoe can't believe that Maya is six weeks old and somehow she hasn't meet the Shepherd. And that, honestly, is just criminal. Especially considering that outside of the village, Book would never meet her.
That isn't all that's on her mind though, as she goes to his room with Maya in her arms. Her and Wash are renewing their wedding vows, and there's no person, anywhere, she'd rather have do the ceremony, than Book. It just fits, and it's important. Means too much to her.
Knocking on his door, she kisses Maya's head, smiling at her and getting a smile in return.
