going to see a doctor [[closed to Martha Jones]]

The problem with things when they're going well, is that the things that are bad get pushed to the back of one's mind. She has a routine in the morning that consists of taking the necessary medications that she needs, the things that came with her. But her supplies have been running low, forcing her to seek out the help of someone at the clinic. And she can't go to Simon, not yet. It was hard enough telling Wash and seeing the look on his face.

She can't even imagine telling Mal. She knows she's lying by omission, but there's no easy way to tell the people who have become your family that there's something wrong with you. And in any case, she's hoping that the village has granted her some sort of reprieve. Perhaps that was why there wasn't any replacement medication in her room.

Making her way to the clinic, Inara is dressed modestly though not too warmly as the humidity from the rain has made it almost stifling. She's shown to one of the exam rooms and sits patiently after her height, temperature, weight, and blood pressure are taken by a nurse. She's so used to this it's automatic, answering questions. But she's nervous, staring at her hands as she waits.
