just need a shoulder to lean on (closed to Sam)

Ramoma was starting to think that she was a sort of safe-haven for Sam, and when she thought about it, she supposed it made sense. It was starting to sound like he had some heavy shit hanging over his head, and if there was ever a person that didn't push into someone's past, that wouldn't get angry because boo-hoo, someone didn't tell them every intimate detail of their life, it was her.

In a way, he was kind of a safe-haven for her, too, despite all this crap the psycho ex-girlfriend was trying her damnedest to stir up. He never made her feel pressured. That was pretty huge for her. She didn't think she'd ever been friends with a guy that didn't expect something from her other than just being a friend in return.

So, rather than focus on the Ruby incidents, Ramona did what she did best: shrugged it off and went on with her life, and was doing her best to tug Sam right along with her. She'd already shoved all of her clothes and things into her subspace bag, grabbed a DVD from the rental place and ordered a pizza, and was now standing in the kitchen sipping a soda, glancing around at the room she'd spend one more night in before she moved in with the new roomie. She was surprised that she was kinda looking forward to it, when she'd always been kind of a loner, but Jo was pretty cool, and hey; safety in numbers. All the people she'd so far made friends with in the village would be close by.

Plus Jo let Ramona streak her hair. It was a total win-win.
