Jeannie had gone out to the park to enjoy the weather. She decided to wear her own clothes as she often did now, though she liked the modern magazine clothes quite a lot. She just felt more at home in her own things. It reminded her that she'd have to redecorate her suite soon.
Speaking of redecoration, this little garden looked like it needed it. Oh, it wasn't finished yet. It made her a little sad to see that it was a memorial for some people from the village, including a doctor who had apparently saved many more people. It shouldn't sit unfinished!
So she walked around, adding white marble bricks to edge the plant beds, noted the spots for trees and added some--lilac in full bloom and cherry. They were past bloom but would be full of fruit in another month or so. Olive and fig just wouldn't work in this climate. Obviously the center was going to be a fountain, so she put one there. It looked just like the fountain in the market square back home in Baghdad. (A little overmuch for Haurvatat, but the tile work was stunning.) She giggled and continued around, pulling weeds one blink at a time. Everything looked so nice.
Beware the genie in the mood to redecorate. You might end up as Cleopatra.
