Second Floor - Saturday Morning [Gathering Post, tag Sawyer]
Every morning, Hurley liked to grab his iPod and take a walk around the village. It was no big deal, just a way to clear his head before he maybe went to go grab some waffles or feed the ducks. Saturdays were no exception, though he did allow himself time to sleep in.
Rolling out of bed, he rolled his neck, then put on some clothes, grabbed his iPod and left the room as quietly as he could so he didn't wake up Hugo.
Pressing the button for the elevator as Tower of Power blasted in his ears, he didn't notice at first that something was wrong. Then, after a few minutes he pressed the button again, and noticed the light didn't come on. Turning for the stairs, he tried to push the door open and it wouldn't budge. Like, not even a little. He felt his heart start to pound a little bit harder, and he turned back to the elevator.
Was he crazy? Maybe he wasn't doing something right. But no, he tried again, and then the stairwell again and nothing worked.
Time to panic.
"HEEEEEEEEEYY! PEOPLE WAKE UP! EMERGENCY. AND STUFF." He paid particular attention to banging on Sawyer's door.
