Oh. Well. Oops? (closed to Claire, dated to Saturday morning before they join the gathering post)

He hadn't meant to fall asleep.

The movie had been Claire's choice--one of those 'action movies' she'd thought that he'd like. It had certainly been interesting, though he wasn't sure exactly what race the dark skinned man belonged to. If he was human, then Galen wanted to know where one acquired the ability to talk that fast. So he could get rid of all knowledge of the discipline, as it was a bit frightening and very annoying.

He'd been so caught up in the alternating fascination, confusion and amusement that the warm weight of Claire's head pillow against his chest hadn't even distracted him. He hadn't noticed how quiet and still she'd gone, until the movie ended and she didn't stir (because apparently he couldn't be trusted to work the remote and turn the viewscreen and command console off himself). She was asleep.

Originally he had intended to move her into a comfortable sleeping position and leave, but his every attempt to do so made her whimper softly and burrow in closer, wrap her arms around him a little tighter. Eventually he just stopped trying and altered the plan: eventually she would wake up, or roll over, or something, and he could slip away and leave her to sleep in peace.

But she didn't. Of course. And some time after his arm fell asleep, so did he.
