I never told you what I do for a living
Jo is, like his auntie, very nonargumentative. Sophie's Switzerland, Jo is Geneva. It isn't as much because he's uberfair as much as he just doesn't care (rhyme for teh win!). As long as you're not hurting anyone (and that's almost anyone anyone - this'll extend to some complete stranger he's seen around but not talked to but not quite as far as Asian sweatshop workers), he's cool with you. He has a lot of sympathy for the underdog in any situation, and he'll always at least try to help someone down in the dumps, even if that's just standing around awkwardly not knowing what to do. (Often he'd like to help but just doesn't know how.) And obviously he'll be even more sympathetic if he knows you.
Different story if he knows the person who did the hurting - it's about the remorse here, because he figures sometimes if you've really hurt someone it can hurt just as much as if you're the one who got hurt, if not more. He'll be completely torn between the person hurt and the person who hurt them, and if he really can't decide he'll go to both of them.
The thing about Jo is he likes fixing things. Being a country boy he's very good with his hands (o! how awful this sentence looks out of context) and he's got the old Kiwi ingenuity down too so there isn't much he can't fix with a bit of number eight wire. (He's completely useless with computers though. He'll tilt your satellite dish right, he'll get your car started, he'll tune your piano, but he can't run a virus scan, attach files to e-mails, or unzip a zip file.) He's very hesitant to fix things between people though, unless both parties are really willing to sort things out. He makes a good owl, but he tries to stay out of things.
So as the title implies I have no idea what Jo does for a living. He's definitely not a psych or anything, uni didn't agree with him; and he's not had formal training in anything like plumbing or technical stuff so that's also out. And I don't think he has the patience to just do odd jobs when he's needed, he definitely has some sort of day job (one of my FEW Muses who does, haha). I suggested he might be a florist a la Luce in Imagine Me & You but he said he wishes to maintain at least a bit of masculinity. XD He might be some sort of aid worker or something. I don't know.
And damn do I need to upload more icons on this thing. XD
