I have the cold that will not end. Schmoopette had it first, and now I've got it. And the runny/stuffy nose... it's getting old. I woke up at 4!15! this morning because I couldn't breathe through my nose anymore. I "slept" (ha) for another hour before giving up when the Wensleydale alarm system started going off.
Oi. It's going to be a very, very long day for someone whose doctor told them to give up caffeine. And by "someone," I mean ME.
I passed on the cold to M&D when we were at the Cape. It will soon achieve world domination.
Not too much else to report. I've been reading a lot. I was given a pamphlet on "sleep hygiene" by my doctor that stressed the importance of establishing a bedtime routine. ROUTINE. Ha. For a Virgo, I am notoriously awful at trying to develop any sort of routine. It's like each day is my first day on the planet. Anyhow, I've been reading at least a chapter before bed, which has lead to me reading a lot more since hey! I read that last night and it was pretty good, I'm gonna keep reading it!
Lately I re-read The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and then moved on to Hotel World (Ali Smith) and Black Swan Green (David Mitchell). I'm reading The Black Book by Orhan Pamuk and thinking that the next book I read shouldn't have "black" in the title.
