Or one of my favorites, the what-happens-when-disney-gets-ahold-of-a-fuzzy-family-classic-and-makes-it-horrifying, Return to Oz?

For books, does anyone remember reading Sheryl Jordan's Winter of Fire, Jane Yolen's Dragon's Blood or Joan Carris's Witch Cat?
