Looking for a book
Here's a challenge - I can't remember the name of the book or even the author, but I remember reading way back in the day (about 1980) a sci-fi/fantasy book that involved a futuristic universe where people would travel to other planets, and the book begins on what was known as a pleasure planet (kind of like an Earth-sized Disneyland). I think it involved two young kids, a girl and her brother, and *I think* they come across a dragon that cries real tears. And the really unique thing about those tears is they harden and become much sought after jewels.
Has anyone ever read a book with that premise? I know its not Anne McCaffrey, because I read those books, and there are entirely different things going on in those books. I remember loving that book but since I had to check it out of the library, I only had it for two weeks, and I didnt recheck it out, so someone else got it and I never saw it again.
If someone can at least give me the title or name of the author, would greatly appreciate it...
